Salt system or chlorine: what we actually recommend

Equipment

A salt system does not mean a chlorine-free pool. It means the pool makes its own chlorine from salt, steadily, instead of you dosing it by hand. The water feels softer, the swimsuit smell fades, and the weekly routine shrinks.

The trade-offs are honest ones: the cell is an up-front cost and a periodic replacement, and salt water is one more reason coastal builds get corrosion-rated hardware, which ours do as standard. Running cost usually favours salt over bought chlorine across a Florida year, where the pool never really closes.

Our recommendation for most family builds is salt, decided at design time so the equipment pad is sized for it once. Like everything on our estimates, it is a line item you can see, not a mystery inside a lump sum.
